About this jobLife?s Little Joys Childcare Services is a luxury childcare service that aims to be a convenient and reliable support system for families. Our mission is to provide high-quality, safe, and fun childcare services to children in the comfort of their homes. Life's Little Joys Childcare Services has two (2) packages that will offer their own unique purposes, allowing the Child Caregiver to explore their talents, creative nature, and academic support/encouragement in different ways. Duties within Packages: Artsy Package: Taking the toys and enrichment activities to the job site (customers? home). Positively interacting with the child(ren) during the time scheduled and ensuring their safety during your time with them. Study-Buddy Package: Patiently assisting child(ren) with academic assignments provided by the family. Positively interacting with child(ren) with activities and toys already on site. General Duties Keep the play, work, and dietary area safe and free from hazards while monitoring children consistently throughout the day.Engage in educational activities with the children, including (but not limited to) reading, crafts, drawing, coloring, and singing.Keep an individual record for each child that includes information about his or her behaviors, daily activities, meals eaten, medications received, and other important and mundane details. Discuss this information with each child?s parents on a daily or weekly basis.Discipline unruly children as needed, focusing on using creative ways to encourage good behavior such as picking up after themselves, participating in the lesson plans, and treating each other kindly.Teach children the importance of good personal hygiene and health habits, including the importance of brushing their teeth, eating healthy food, using the toilet, and getting adequate rest.Change diapers, dress children, and assist them with snacks, drinks, and meals as needed.Sanitize play equipment, games, and toys regularly to keep them safe and attractive while minimizing the spread of germs.Developing a schedule to maintain throughout the dayMaintain contact with the child(ren)?s parents and LLJMaintain professional appearance as instructed in the LLJ?s Uniform CodeMaintain limited interactions with your electronic devices and none with social media while caring for the child(ren)Arrive to work on time and notify your supervisor if running behindMaintain a high level of professionalism while interacting with customersContacting customers before arriving on-site to introduce yourselfPerform additional duties as required or assigned that are reasonably within the scope of the duties in this job classification.Required qualifications:Legally authorized to work in the United States18 years or olderReliable transportation to and from workValid driver's licenseBackground checkDrug screeningPreferred qualifications:Medical license/certification: CPR CertificationMedical license/certification: First Aid CertificationOwn a personal vehicleAble to stand for duration of shiftAble to comfortably lift 40 lbsAvailable to work: on callAvailable to work: early morningAvailable to work: late at nightAvailable to work: weekendsAvailable to work: overtimeAvailable to work: weekdaysWilling to travel locallyWilling to wear face mask
