Salary for this position may be commensurate with education and job experience. Role Overview: As the Child Services Assistant, you will be responsible for performing standard clerical/administrative support duties in a Local Office within the Indiana Department of Child Services (DCS). A Day in the Life: The essential elements of the role are as follows: :Maintain a variety of files, update case files as new material is collected, ensure that information is kept organized and that all necessary case documentation is retained in compliance with the record retention policy.:Prepare reports involving tabulations and balancing of posted data and simple arithmetic calculations.:Answer inquiries over the telephone or in person concerning regulations or procedures within specialized area.:Receive and prepare replies to routine correspondence.:Operate office machines related to specific area of work.
