We are working closely alongside a Local Authority in West Susinteraction to assist with the appointment of a Child & Family Worker , on a 6 -month contract , highly likely to be extended at clients discretion. Rate of Pay : £14.00 per hour PAYE Responsibilities: You will undertake backssment work and interventions with children, young people, parents/carers and families, many of whom will have complex and multiple needs. Some may be within a child protection and/or court framework. You will contribute to the backssment and planning processes for Children in Need, Children Looked After and children subject to a Child Protection Plan. Under supervision, you will manage a caseload backssing needs, risks and options, considering legal and other requirements, provide interventions and monitor/evaluate progress. You will undertake direct work with families in a variety of ways which could include individual, group, adult and child support work, and family work. Where appropriate, you will attend court and give evidence in respect of the work you have undertaken. You will interpret complex information, for example to produce a high-quality document with minimal guidance, or to plan, deliver and review services for the children and young people involved, ensuring services are delivered with a specific focus targeted to meet referred need. You will maintain accurate records of all work undertaken and produce case reports and correspondence for a variety of audiences including meetings, conferences, resource panels and other agencies. You will be responsible for the care, accuracy, confidentiality, security and maintenance of all individuals records and related manual and/or computerised information, including highly sensitive and confidential adult/child protection issues.
