A social services organization in New York City is looking to add a licensed Child & Adolescent Psychiatrist to join their growing team in Queens. In this role, the Child & Adolescent Psychiatrist will be responsible for patient care and oversight for children and youth who are treated with psychotropic medication in the agency's Foster Care program.About the Opportunity: * Start Date: ASAP * Schedule: Monday to Friday * Hours: 8 hours a week / 32 hours per month * Setting: Outpatient * Patient Population: Foster Care / Underserved * Patient Volume: 10 to 15 per day * EMR: AcuMedResponsibilities:The Child & Adolescent Psychiatrist will: * Initiate and/or change psychotropic medication treatment for children/youth with a designated behavioral health diagnosis to ensure patient stabilization and response to treatment * Complete psychiatric evaluations for all children / youth newly enrolled in foster care * Provide oversight to two contracted Nurse Practitioners via one hour weekly supervision * Perform other duties, as neededQualifications: * Graduate Degree in Medicine * Licensed to practice in the State of New York * Board Certified in Child & Adolescent Psychiatry * Solid assessment and documentation skillsDesired Skills: * Experience in Managed CareYour privacy is important to us.
