Apply now JOB DESCRIPTION The SAP Concur and Midmarket Marketing team is seeking a Chief of Staff to work directly for, and partner with, Concur's Chief Marketing Officer (CMO). This team also has accountability for SAP's Midmarket Marketing function, and the Chief of Staff would additionally support that effort. This organization, totaling 350 people across 30 countries with significant investment levels and extensive business impact, is critical to the future of SAP. As Chief of Staff, the person will be a key player in helping shape the global marketing organization, define its culture, drive excellence in operations, and help it exceed its objectives. This role provides a highly motivated individual the opportunity to see the business end:to:end, get exposure to executives at many levels, and to learn a tremendous amount in a short period of time as they develop their career. The Chief of Staff will lead the organization in communications, day:to:day operations, and the rhythm of the business. The individual in this role will be required to think holistically and strategically about key initiatives for marketing and help drive them forward. The SAP Concur and Midmarket Marketing organization has a deep integration with the global distribution (sales) team so understanding of the interplay between sales and marketing is critical. The individual in this role must have a collaborative mindset and be able to lead cross:functionally. There are four key components of this role, and candidates will need to demonstrate competence across each: : Operational management: Rhythm of the business management: Communications interface: Cultural steward Responsibilities: stylemargin:bottom:11.0px:: Operational management:stylelist:style:type:circle:: Manage budgeting and reporting, including intersections with finance and procurement, so that marketing budgets are targeted, fully optimized, and ROI maximized.: Operationalize and track the headcount processes, in alignment with HR and finance, to ensure marketing has the resources needed to succeed and that recruiting is optimized.: Track and report global KPIs against goals for SAP Concur and SAP.: Rhythm of the business management:stylelist:style:type:circle:: Drive the rhythm for the team, including all:hands, LT meetings, leadership summits, offsites and all:up meeting cadence.: Ensure connection to SAP, effective participation within SAP Corporate Marketing, and connection to the rest of Concur.: Coordinate organizational changes including communication cascades, system changes.: Communications interface:stylelist:style:type:circle:: Drive team:wide communications using diverse channels to ensure broad understanding and alignment on focus areas and progress.: Integrate with broader Corporate Marketing and SAP communications channels to ensure priority messages are shared widely.: Cultural steward:stylelist:style:type:circle:: Help further the culture of trust and transparency that the team has developed by engaging in initiatives designed to improve the working experience of marketers.: Analyze results from people surveys and other instruments to identify opportunities to improve trust across the organization.: Ensure effective execution against people objectives including goal setting, development pl
