PRIMARY FUNCTION: Provides high quality, comprehensive medical services to the people of Molokai with respect and aloha. The Chief Medical Officer is responsible for providing complete, comprehensive, direct outpatient services including adult and family medicine and pediatrics throughout the life cycle by collaborating with other physicians, nurse practitioners, and staff. The Chief Medical Officer will oversee all aspects of the medical services provided by the health center. EDUCATION/QUALIFICATIONS: Board Certified (or Board eligible) Physician (MD or DO); Licensed in Family Medicine or Internal Medicine, preferred Current license to practice medicine in the state of Hawaii Current Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) Certificate Current Hawaii State Controlled Substance Registration NPI Registry Current BLS Healthcare Provider Certification Five plus years of Clinical Managerial Experience, preferred Ability to perform general medical care Evidence of continuing medical education Familiarity with Federal and State rules, regulations, and practices pertaining to a Federally Qualified Health Center. (FQHC) Knowledge of PCMH accreditation process Knowledge and ability to use an Electronic Medical Record (EMR) System (Practice Management Software)
