Nite Lines USA is looking to place Medical Assistants in the Bennettsville, SC area. Place of Performance : The Medical Assistant services will be performed on-site at the Federal Correctional Institution Bennettsville in Bennettsville, South Carolina. Hours: Monday-Friday, 7:30am-4pm Pay Rate: $19.50/hr Benefits: Competitive salary Health Insurance Benefit Paid Time Off (Executive Order 13706) - effective after one year of service with Nite lines USA, Inc.: One (1) hour accrual per every 30 hours work up to 56 hours per year. Vacation - effective after one year of service with Nite lines USA, Inc.: Two (2) weeks paid vacation after one (1) year of service with a contractor or successor, three (3) weeks after five (5) years, and four (4) weeks after 15 years. Candidates who wish to be considered for this opportunity should submit proof of qualifications: Current resume with three (3) professional references Medical Assistant Certification Proof of CMA Education (Diploma or transcripts) CPR (front & back) Duties: The prospective contractor shall be responsible for: 1) Providing nursing care to include taking and recording patient history, vital signs, scanning, making appointments, assisting PA’s/NP’S/RN’S and physicians in clinical activities. 2) Drawing blood from patients for analysis or other medical tests, glucose sticks. 3) Phlebotomy duties such as collecting and processing laboratory tests. 4) Operation of EKG machines and other special medical apparatus and equipment within the Health Services Department. 5) Assisting the medical providers and visiting clinical specialty consultants in the management and coordination of patient flow through the chronic care clinic, optometry and general clinics when scheduled. 6) Assisting primary providers in the urgent care room when necessary, and utilize basic medical equipment. 7) General medical assistant duties. 8) Pulling, filing and copying medical records and maintain supplies in all exam rooms. 9) Screening eye exams and assist physicians and mid-level practitioners in minor surgical cases if needed. 10) Maintain daily sick call list/call out. 11) Required to be familiar and use of BEMR system. 12) The contractor will sign the Institution Contractors Log Located at the front entrance of the Institution; indicating the date of visit to the Institution, the time of arrival and departure and signature of time in and time out for any lunch breaks. This must be done for each visit.
