Description:
Lowell School in Washington DC is seeking a Cello teacher to teach private lessons to children. This position begins in September and works closely with the Director of After School Music. It is also a plus if you have experience working with young children. Qualifications: 1-2 years of teaching experience Positive and friendly attitude Passion for working with children; ability to motivate and support children in reaching high levels of academic success. Belief in the value of enrichment education for all children Previous experience working with children. Major Responsibilities: Create dynamic lesson experiences to ensure students are challenged and inspired. Provide a one-to-one teaching experience in the area of music creation Show evidence of adapting and differentiated instruction for all students Maintain complete and accurate records Develop and maintain genuine, positive and consistent communication with parents Lowell School requires all employees to be fully vaccinated, unless you have a medical or religious exemption. Fully vaccinated includes boosters. Proof of COVID vaccinations will be needed during the onboarding process. Lowell School is an equal opportunity employer.
