Responsibilities: Transport equipment to other locations within the company. Check the vehicle to ensure that mechanical, safety, and emergency equipment is in good working order. Follow appropriate safety procedures for transporting heavy or larger equipment. Inspect loads before departure to ensure the equipment is secure for safe travel. Load and unload equipment on and off the vehicle (which may involve operating a forklift, climbing ladders, walking on top of a vehicle, and operating equipment.) Reconciling truck shipping and loading documents including DOT documents- logbook and pre-trip inspection sheets. Requirements: High school diploma or equivalent preferred. A clean valid CDL, Class A or B. Ability to pass DOT physical exam. Knowledge of equipment weights and dimensions as well as capabilities of our vehicles and equipment. A minimum of one to three years driving experience. Excellent customer service skills. Ability to sit for 30 minutes to 2 hours while driving, ability to stand for 30 minutes to 1 hour while loading/unloading vehicle and the ability to walk to and from the vehicle (50 to 300 feet at one time).
