We are creating a new sector in hospitality by creating identifiable brands with consistent accommodations, services, and amenities within the vacation rental space. Catering Sales Manager is responsible for finalizing group catering business to meet/exceed sales goals. As a Catering Sales Manager, you will solicit, negotiate and book new/repeat business via outside sales calls, telemarketing, mailings, networking, etc. Requirements of the position include: a thorough knowledge of the practices and procedures of the catering, food & beverage and hospitality professions; knowledge of NDM Hospitality products and services; effective communication skills, and the ability to negotiate, influence and sell. Responsibilities: Direct staff responsible for event coordination activities Coordinate details of events such as conference, weddings, birthdays, anniversaries, charity events, surprise parties, trade shows, sales meetings and business meetings. Hire train and educate staff on proper event procedures. Calculate budgets and adjust when necessary. Book venues and negotiate fees. Prepare invitations and send out at appropriate time. Work with guest of honor to ensure all requests are met. Work with marketing coordinator to promote the event. Analyze event performance and prepare metrics presentation. Define company brand through events Ensure staff is adequately prepared for event. Pay vendors for their participation in the event. Provide receipts if needed. Attend convention shows, set up booths, flowers, decorations and event décor. Plan menus, order food and hire chefs or caterers. Must be a self-starter and have the ability to self-teach Must have the ability to work cohesively with Sales Group Manager and communicate new processes and keep everyone informed and updated Qualifications: College Degree or equivalent experience. 5 years' experience in an event capacity Must be a self-starting team player that contributes positive energy. Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work in a team-oriented environment. Excellent ability to conduct group presentations, written and oral. Detail minded and strong organization skills. Ability to manage multiple priorities and reprioritize when necessary. Strong business planning, account planning and budget management skills. Demonstrated ability to be creative to develop strategies that will drive revenue Computer proficiency in Excel, Word and PowerPoint. Flexible and long hours sometimes required including working weekends, holidays, and hours exceeding 40+ Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs Ability to walk long distance is required Job Posted by ApplicantPro
