Summary We are looking for 2-3 employees who can join our delivery team part-time, up to 29 hours a week. This job would involve assisting with catering deliveries across the Ann Arbor campus. Primary responsibilities include collecting food and drinks from the catering kitchen, delivering food to the correct location, and connecting with the client to finalize the delivery.Catering Delivery Drivers start at $15.50 an hour but experienced drivers will earn up to $18 an hour.Schedule will be weekdays, 6:00AM-2:00PM and/or 10:00AM-6:00PM. Schedule requires working an 8 hour shift with appropriate breaks. Responsibilities* Operate single unit University motor vehicles, such as vans, pick-up trucks, and straight back delivery trucks Accurately read and understand catering contracts Communicate with catering managers and chefs regarding any questions on catering contracts Able to navigate the Ann Arbor campus safely and effectively Ability to work independently Interact with customers in a friendly and professional manner Required Qualifications* Must have a valid driver's license with minimal points High School Diploma Able to pass a background check Additional Information A resume is required to be considered for this position.This role may have reporting obligations under Title IX and Clery.Authorization to work in the U.S. is a precondition of employment and applicants for this position will not be sponsored for work visas.Salary may vary depending on qualifications, experience, and education of the selected candidate.Relocation will not be offered for this position.#studentlifeBackground ScreeningThe University of Michigan conducts background checks on all job candidates upon acceptance of a contingent offer and may use a third party administrator to conduct background checks.
