ABOUT THE ROLE This position exists to lead a team of Category Specialists and coordinate activities to drive the profitability of the existing Trans Alta assets. It is responsible for the strategic sourcing, contracting, and management of a designated planned goods and service spend portfolio for the acquisition of goods and services from external sources across Trans Alta's enterprise. This would include, but is not limited to, legal contracting and negotiation strategy, legal and business risk identification/mitigation, negotiation, preparation, and oversight of competitive bid process, documents, and contracts to acquire external goods and services.
