Work Arrangement: Hybrid Department: Category Management Group Overview Reporting to the Manager of SCM Category Management, the Specialist, Category Management will drive category strategies for Pembina’s top quartile categories that influence Pembina’s ~$2 billion in annual capital and operational expenditures. The Specialist will work cross functionally with the business, contract owners, as well as the Enablement and Operations pillars of the Supply Chain team. The ideal candidate has a passion for Category Management, provides the highest level of strategy, commercial acumen and trusted advisory. This Specialist position is a member of the Supply Chain Leadership Team that includes both people and technical leaders across the Supply Chain organization. Guided by Pembina's values, Supply Chain collaborates with the Business Units ensuring that all supply chain activities are executed with the highest standards of ethics and integrity and are in strict adherence to Pembina’s policies. Supply Chain delivers strategic value to the organization by optimizing technology for material acquisition, inventory carrying, transportation, and planning costs. Responsibilities Responsible for the formation and execution of category profiles and strategies; Formation of internal profiles, external market profiles, and gap analysis against the desired future state of a category; backss and translate market intelligence into category playbooks; Develop total cost of ownership models specific to assigned categories; Consolidate demand short term and long term from various stakeholders; Incorporating the appropriate sourcing and contracting risk mitigation into strategies; Lead the supplier relationship management program with top quartile suppliers; Lead the category and supplier segmentation process on an annual basis with the ability to translate into commercial strategies and tactics; Identify and effectively communicate the most efficient procurement channels; Provide.
