The ARCHES Project is seeking a Part-Time Case Manager to join their Woodburn team! The Case Manager will work with moderate to high needs clients to support and guide them through an extended level of assistance in order to remove barriers and facilitate stable housing. The person in this position will perform eligibility screening, program enrollment, participant follow-ups, process required paperwork, data entry, and other general program supports. Candidates must submit application by 5/08/2024 in order to be considered for first round interviews. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required of this position. EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE High School Diploma or GED and two years of related social service experience, direct client care; or an acceptable equivalent combination of education and experience. Ideal candidates will possess an advanced degree with two or more years of homeless service delivery experience and mental health certifications and/or licensing. Preference will be given to candidates with knowledge of and/or experience of: the principles of coordinated assessment, working with unsheltered or vulnerable populations, as well as best practices in homeless service delivery. KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES Basic proficiencies in computers, MS Office products, database software, and web tools. Must possess excellent planning, organization and time management skills. Ability to effectively communicate both orally and in written form. Bilingual English/Spanish capabilities are preferred for this position. To qualify as bilingual, staff must possess demonstrated abilities to speak, read and write fluently in English and Spanish, and pass a bilingual proficiencies test. * Bilingual pay differential available upon successful completion of bilingual assessment. CERTIFICATES, LICENSES & REGISTRATIONS Driver qualification status is not required for this position. Candidate must pass a comprehensive MWVCAA background screening prior to employment. Food Handler's Card or ability to obtain within 60 days. Candidate must pass pre-employment and random drug/alcohol screens. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES This job description is not intended to be all-inclusive. Employee will also perform other reasonably related business duties as assigned by immediate supervisor and other management as required. Works directly with clients to ensure access to housing assessments and resources. Assesses client eligibility and aids in gathering documentation as required for intake, enrollment, and shelter placement. Provides direct service to participants, including case management and housing placement support to assist participants in becoming self-sufficient and overcoming barriers to accessing permanent housing. Develops Action Plans that identify participant needs, barriers, and strengths. Establishes and maintains an active working relationship with community partners. SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES This job has no supervisory responsibilities. Regulates emotions and handles pressure of frequent demands for attention, time and work tasks. Attends and engages in required annual trainings. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision and ability to adjust focus. Ability to remain calm and engage in de-escalation techniques using trauma-informed care during heightened interactions. Ability to exercise judgement and quick decision-making skills in response to guest or client incidents. Requires ability to stay calm and alert during shift. WORK ENVIRONMENT Occasional urgent situations requiring law enforcement involvement and/or paramedic professionals. Close quarters, often with a client population experiencing homelessness, substance use disorders, and/or severe and persistent mental illness, and/or unpredictable behavior. Variable and flexible work hours, including holidays, early mornings, evenings, and weekends. Occasional trips into camps throughout Marion and Polk County. Occasional exposure to biohazards requiring frequent use of PPE such as gloves, masks, eye protection, protective clothing and shoes or boots. Frequent exposure to animals and animal dander. Indoor work environment with frequent interruptions and demands. Occasional outdoor environment including perimeter monitoring.
