We're actively recruiting for this key, high profile role in the company because we have experienced tremendous growth and would love for you to join us!Visit us at: About the Job:The Carrier Research Analyst is responsible for reviewing & analyzing transportation carriers' aging reports, which includes but is not limited to resolving open payable disputes. Relationship building and communication with transportation carriers is essential to effectively resolve billing disputes. The role requires great attention to detail, strong problem-solving techniques, great analytical skills, and the ability to effectively communicate with other departments and management. In This Role, You Will: Review transportation carrier's aging reports and work on resolving open billing disputes.Send detailed completed aging reports to transportation carriers that includes the status of all open pros.Communicate internally with departments to identify and resolve open items, which includes but is not limited to funding issues, contract disputes, and general billing discrepancies.Communicate with transportation carriers, billing disputes that require additional research and attention (weight & inspection disputes, EDI, bill of lading disputes, etc.)Communicate with the freight audit team to help resolve cost audit billing disputes presented by carrier. Handle incoming carrier inquiries (phone, email, etc.) in a timely fashion. Help train transportation carriers how to use web portals that help track past due freight bills.Communicate with Accounts receivables team to address and resolve funding delays.Work with team and management to help identify key processes or practices that can help result in more efficient outcomes.Develop a positive relationship with transportation carrier representatives to resolve billing issues timely, professionally, and meticulously. Good analytical skills are important.Ability to communicate successfully with both internal and external departments.Strong relationship building skills - customer service is a must.Ability to make informed decisions independently and answer questions from other departments.Proficient in Microsoft Excel & Outlook required.Must be able to meet daily deadlines (e-mails must be answered in a set time table.)Good problem-solving skills required.Proficient in data entry is preferred.Must be goal-oriented and self-motivated.Good oral and written communication skills, particularly when dealing with different types of people and situations. Organizational skills, ability to manage priorities based on assigned workload.Must be able to accept carrier complaints and turn them around with positive solutions.
