Business Operating Name: Onni Group Business Address: 200-xyz X Seymour Street, Vancouver, BC, V6B 3M6 Work Location: Various locations across the Lower Mainland and Fraser Valley Job Title: Carpenters (NOC 7271) Terms of Employment: 30-40 hours per week, Permanent Start Date: As soon as possible Wage: $30.00-34.00 per hour (Depending on Experience) No of Positions: 6 Job Duties: Read and interpret blueprints, drawings and sketches to determine specifications and calculate requirements Prepare layouts in conformance to building codes, using measuring tools Measure, cut, shape, assemble and join materials made of wood, wood substitutes, lightweight steel and other materials General handyman duties Fit and install trim items, such as doors, stairs, molding and hardware Build, maintain, repair and structures in residential, industrial, commercial, rental properties and other establishments Ensure work areas and equipment are always clean May supervise other construction workers SKILLS REQUIREMENTS Education: Completion of secondary school is required. Experience: Minimum of 2 years of experience in carpentry or related field is required. University or college diploma in carpentry will be considered an asset. Language: Ability to communicate in oral and written English is required. Benefits: Extended health and dental benefits is provided to successful candidates who have passed their 3 months probationary period. Work Conditions and Physical Capabilities: Repetitive Tasks, physically demanding requires bending, crouching, kneeling, Handling Heavy loads, requires lifting, pulling, and carrying of equipment and other objects, Standing for long period of time, Hand-eye co-ordination. Personal Suitability: Ability to work in confined spaces, as well as high height levels and in noisy places Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. Ability to do physical work for long shifts.
