HOURS OF OPERATION & COMPENSATION: 7:00AM-4:00PM (with flexibility due to travel time) Position summary: Installs doors, windows, mirrors, shower doors, and insulated units by performing the following duties. Essential Duties and responsibilities: Installs doors, windows, and storm doors. Installs shower doors, mirrors, glass, and insulated glass Cut glass and mirrors Work in shop as needed. Assists in estimating by measuring jobs as needed Services prior installations. Communicates between customers and salespeople Works in a way to ensure the safety of self and others Replace insulated glass in windows Helps the glaziers on commercial projects as needed (see Commercial Glass Installation Helper job description) Works with the fabrication team when needed Travels as necessary to successfully accomplish job duties. Cleans up job site after completion Performs other duties as assigned. Qualifications: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Residential finish carpentry skills Required 2 + years' experience installing residential windows and door, handing glass, and caulking windows - Required Must have a valid driver's license and drive company vehicles with courtesy and according to all laws- Required Excellent communication skills - Required Experience with multiple hand and power tools. - Required Ability to read architectural blueprints, drawing and specifications and follow instructions - Required Knowledge of basic math skills, along with the ability to read ruler measurements -Required Ability to meet attendance requirements including overtime as needed - Required Attention to detail and time management skills - Required Ability to work successfully within a team or independently Required Physical Demands: The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. Frequently required to reach above shoulders, bend, twist, stoop, kneel and crouch. Constantly required to use hands to finger, handle or touch objects, tools or controls. Frequently gripping, cupping and clamping hand and wrist motions are required to support, carry and maneuver objects to platform heights of three feet in a manner considered safe for self and others. Constantly lift and/or move up to 25 50 pounds Frequently lift and/or move up to 50 - 75 pounds Occasionally lift and/or move more than 75 - 100 pounds. Specific vision abilities required for this position include close vision, depth perception and the ability to adjust focus. ( Occasionally -1-25% of the time; frequently 26-75% of the time; constantly =76-100% of the time) Work Environment: The work environment characteristics described here are representative of those an employee encounters while performing the essential functions of this job. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly exposed to fumes and airborne particles.
