Margot Elena Companies and Collections, a creatively driven company producing beautiful and innovative bath and body products, is looking for a full time Carpenter who will also perform various facilities maintenance. The Carpenter/Facilities candidate will skillfully fabricate, repair and modify showroom & tradeshow installation components, working in wood and other materials. In addition, this position will perform day-to-day building maintenance with occasional warehouse support and other assignments to support business needs. Primary Duties & Responsibilities: Accurately complete a variety of carpentry tasks with quality workmanship to construct new furniture, fixtures, and display units based on provided dimensions and drawings. Professional level of sanding, painting and/or finishing. Safely operate a variety of power and hand tools. Maintain and clean carpentry shop and machinery on regular basis. Follow standard safety precautions and wear appropriate protective equipment. Order/purchase shop materials as needed. Assist with shipping and receiving. This includes packing/wrapping/labeling outgoing pallets and crates along with unloading trucks carrying incoming shipments Assist with setup of special events. Assist at main warehouse location as needed. Routine maintenance of facilities and grounds - cleaning, changing lights, shoveling, removing leaves, minor repair work, etc. Required Skills: Thorough understanding of carpentry tools, techniques and terminology Eye for detail and accuracy Basic Computer skills Good understanding of basic mathematics Ability to understand and follow oral and written directions Ability to work well with others in a professional manner Flexibility and willingness to enthusiastically take on any type of project with a positive attitude Nice to Have: Forklift training/certification Experience with graphics installation Experience with lighting for cabinetry/set design Ability to work with a variety of materials such as acrylic Welding skills Craft skills Physical Requirements: Prolonged periods standing, bending, stooping and reaching. Must have a full range of physical motion as required to properly operate manual and electric power tools Ability to work on ladders and roofs. Must be able to lift and carry 50 lbs.
