Aston Gardens at Pelican Point , a Senior Living community is thriving and has meaningful job opportunities available in a safe and supportive work environment.The Care Givers'/Medication Technician role includes providing hands on care, with physical and emotional support to each resident while maintaining a safe and comfortable home-like setting. Must be able to pass a Level II Background Check - 10p-6a Shift From $16.00 per hour Care Giver / Medication Technician responsibilities include (but not all inclusive): Helping residents maintain independence, promoting dignity and physical safety Maintaining cleanliness of residents’ rooms, common areas & work areas Participating and assisting residents with activities of daily living (i.e. bathing, dressing, toileting, grooming, ambulation, transferring, eating) Engaging and participating with residents in group and one-on-one activities Reviews service plan to learn pertinent information about residents. Assists/observes medications and treatments for each resident using the medication observation record and the Six Rights of Medication Pass. Documents and initials form as medications are given including appropriate documentation for refusal or missed doses. Maintains confidentiality of all resident information including resident medication. Reports all resident concerns made while assisting resident with the medication to the Nurse and/or Health Care Coordinator (HCC). Educational Requirements and Experience : Certified Nurse’s Aid certification preferred. High School diploma/GED Must be 18 years of age. CPR Certification. First Aid Certification preferred Previous experience working with seniors preferred.
