Would you like to join the team at a recent Award Winning cafe, with 18 boutique style bedrooms, in the heart of the beautiful tourist town of Inveraray (60 miles from Glasgow)? Live in accommodation is available along with a generous salary and tips If you enjoy serving caf à quality foods for breakfast and lunch and delightful home baking, for local and tourists, then this is the role for you Require a Sous Chef with at least two years experience at this level. Your responsibilities are: Direct food preparation and cooking Produce quality plates, even for simple foods it needs to look and taste great in a fast paced environment Oversee and supervise kitchen staff Assist with menu planning Ensure kitchen is is good condition Comply to food safety standards Orders food supplies Solves problems Skills required for this position: Knowledge of cooking, ingredients and procedures Management and Leadership skills Time management Decision making Keep calm and motivated under pressure. Planning and organizing skills Experience: At least two years at Sous Chef Level The Money Bit: Hourly rate is A GBP 14 per hour. Live: in Accommodation available at a charge of A GBP 63.70 per week (includes rent, rates, wifi). Tips average A GBP 25 per day. Inveraray is a tourist town, the season is from April to end of October. We require a Sous Chef for an immediate start to take us through the busy tourist season but the right candidate must also possess a positive working attitude for the quieter low season months and be able to work on your own at times.
