Description:
CAD Designer Responsibilities: Use software to create detailed 3D designs for complex, multidisciplinary projects.Collaborate with others to establish design criteria, review functionality, and solve complex design challenges.Maintain basic knowledge of electromechanical industry, engineering standards, mathematics, and materials.Create mechanical drawings for fabrication and assembly of electromechanical hardware.Establish and monitor outsourced fabrication activities with outside vendors. Requirements An associate's degree or equivalent experience.A minimum of two years' experience as a CAD Designer or Mechanical Technician in a related industry.Extensive knowledge of mechanical engineering design, fabrication, maintenance, and repairs.Extensive knowledge of Solidworks, or similar CAD software.Ability to read, revise, and create technical documentation and mechanical drawings.Exceptional analytical, critical thinking, and problem-solving abilities.Excellent communication and collaboration skills.Great organizational and time management abilities.Ability to collaborate with others to solve problems.Firm grasp of mathematics, engineering, and design best practices.Willingness to perform mechanical design tasks outside of business hours, when needed.Must be a U.S. Citizen or legally eligible to work in the United StatesMust have a clean driving record and must be able to pass a Motor Vehicle Report resulting in evidence of insurability by our insurance brokerMust be able to pass a Urine Drug ScreeningMust be able to pass a background security check
