Made Possible.SUMMARYThe Business System Analyst assists in the development, implementation, documentation, and maintenance of production systems necessary for the companies prepress workflows. This includes, but is not limited to, internal and external communication, workflow databases and servers, workstation and server configuration. Will also work on research, development, training, tutorials, job simplification and automation, etc. with other employees on a regular basis, under the direction of the Graphic Develop Manager. They should understand and align business operations and Graphics as he/she executes their role to exceed customer expectations and align with GPI business, cultural, financial, and operational objectives.JOB FUNCTIONS:Job functions to include, but are not limited to the following.Must work within and adhere to the company's core values of Integrity, Respect, Accountability, Relationships and TeamworkMaintain and develop the graphic prepress workflowsMaintenance and troubleshooting of server software and hardwareDatabase maintenance and troubleshootingConduct daily and archival data backupsMaintain documentation of new and current production systemsProject Based duties:Develop systems to accommodate new areas of prepress businessDevelop database-driven, automated prepress production systemsEvaluate and implement new prepress production hardware and softwareDevelop training modules in regard to new technologyRequired Skills:Working knowledge of both Mac OS/Linux and Windows operation systems (including server systems)Back-End Web development and interface design - HTML, CSS, Javascript, XML, PHPProficient in these programming languages, specifically Python, Applescript, MS Visual BasicProficient with databases, specifically Filemaker, PostgreSQLFamiliarity with JDF (Job Definition Format)Familiarity with Prepress systems, Prinergy, Esko, Adobe SuiteRequired Experience:Four-year degree preferred or compensatory closely related work experience required in lieu of degree.This Job Description is not intended to be all-inclusive.
