Loureiro Engineering Associates is seeking a Business Management Intern for our location in Plainville, CT. Intern/Co-Op will contribute to a fast-paced growing team in the Procurement/Offices/Facilities department and will perform tasks independently while working closely with individual team members to ensure that objectives are met. During the internship, you will tackle real challenges and cultivate your curiosity, and meet our clients’ evolving needs by working alongside the best in the industry. We look for people who want to grow, support, think and produce.This is a paid internship opportunity. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Conduct cost analyses and summarize findings and conclusions, based on large amounts of data. Participate in team and client discussions and ensure key takeaways are captured. Prepare benchmarking studies on specific topics. Assist in managing procurement documentation, including purchase orders, contracts, and supplier databases. Manage project logistics and support the Manager in the day-to-day organization of meetings. Assist in developing and implementing procurement strategies aligned with project needs and company objectives. Assist in negotiating contracts, terms, and conditions with vendors under the guidance of senior procurement managers. Contribute to analyzing market trends, pricing, and supply-demand dynamics to support informed decision-making. Education and Skills Required: A Junior, Senior or Graduate student majoring in Business Administration, Marketing, Economics, Engineering, Finance, Management or Strategy (or related field) Fluency in English (written and spoken) Additional language skills are an advantage. Proficient in Microsoft Office Applications: Outlook, Excel, Word and PowerPoint Highly organized and structured Logical and lateral thinker Strongly motivated to perform, learn and improve. Proactively takes the initiative beyond the tasks assigned and is resourceful. Team player, open-minded, possesses cultural awareness and sensitivity. A mature demeanor and positive attitude, as well as discretion and sensitivity when dealing with clients. Willingness to commit to and align with company culture and values.
