Position Overview:The George DeLallo Company is committed to leveraging data-driven insights to enhance decision-making and drive business growth. As part of our continuous efforts to optimize our operations, we are seeking a skilled Business Intelligence Developer to join our team.As a Business Intelligence Developer with our team, you will play a crucial role in transforming raw data into actionable insights. You will not only develop BI reports and analytics solutions but also co-own our SQL Server data warehouse, taking ownership of its design, maintenance, and optimization. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in BI development, exceptional SQL skills, and a passion for maximizing the potential of our data.Key Responsibilities: Develop, maintain, and optimize BI reports, dashboards, and analytics solutions using tools such as Cognos, Power BI, Tableau, or similar platforms. Collaborate closely with stakeholders to gather requirements, understand business needs, and translate them into actionable insights. Co-own the SQL Server data warehouse, taking responsibility for its design, architecture, performance tuning, and ongoing maintenance. Lead efforts to streamline data extraction, transformation, and loading processes within the data warehouse environment. Develop and maintain SQL scripts, stored procedures, and queries to support BI initiatives and ensure data integrity. Conduct thorough data analysis to identify trends, patterns, and insights that drive informed decision-making. Provide technical expertise and support to end users for BI tools, data warehouse operations, and related systems. Stay abreast of emerging trends and technologies in BI, data warehousing, and analytics, and proactively recommend innovations to enhance our capabilities.Qualifications Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Systems or a minimum of 10 years of relevant experience. Proven experience as a Business Intelligence Developer or similar role, with expertise in BI report development and data visualization. Extensive experience with SQL programming and SQL Server or similar relational databases. Strong understanding of data warehousing concepts, methodologies, and best practices. Demonstrated ability to design, implement, and optimize data warehouse solutions. Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with an attention to detail. Effective communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to interact with stakeholders at all levels. Proactive mindset, with the ability to work independently and take ownership of projects and initiatives.Preferred Qualifications: Experience with ETL processes and tools, such as SSIS (SQL Server Integration Services). Knowledge of advanced analytics, data modeling techniques, and predictive analytics. Familiarity with cloud-based BI solutions, such as Azure Analytics or AWS Redshift. Relevant certifications in BI development, data warehousing, or related fields. We are not offering relocation: this job is on-site.
