Title: Business Intelligence Analyst Department: IT Business Systems Bargaining Unit: NBU Grade: N/A Position Type: Exempt Hours per Week : 40 Position Summary The Business Intelligence Analyst converts raw data into meaningful insights through interactive and understandable dashboards and reports in accordance with Company guidelines, client needs, and regulatory requirements. "Has minimum necessary access to Protected Health Information (PHI) and Personally Identifiable Information (PII) by Job Description/Role." Key Duties and Responsibilities Delivers best-in-class dashboards on Power BI. Leads the discovery and requirements in reporting with stakeholders in Client Services, Operations, and IT. Writes complex SQL queries and stored procedures. Analyzes data from disparate sources. Articulates and develops metrics to turn data from many different systems to actionable insights. Works with other team members to implement a centralized reporting warehouse. Works with business stakeholders to secure user acceptance and support BI needs during and after implementation. Provides day-to-day user support and admin on dashboards. Tests, troubleshoots, and documents. Champions and advocates use of dashboards to deliver better ROI for client, employers, providers, and trustees. Creates user guides and provides demos when needed. Explores opportunities to continuously improve and measure adoption of business intelligence. Contributes to business intelligence roadmap Works closely with stakeholders to understand business goals and objectives. Partners with stakeholders and technical team to continuously provide data transformations and groom the data analysis backlog. Shares roadmaps both internally and to clients. Follows best practices in service management - Incident, Service Request, Problem and Change management. Performs other duties as requested. Minimum Qualifications Associates degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or other business-related field. Three years of experience working with Power BI designing and delivering an enterprise solution. Six years of experience working with Microsoft Tools (SSIS, SSRS, and SQL). Experience creating data-rich dashboards, writing DAX expressions, and implementing row-level security. Strong knowledge of data modeling, data mart, and data warehouse architecture. Proven ability to learn business processes and concepts. Excellent communications skills in writing, speaking, and listening. Confident interacting and effectively communicating with all levels of an organization and outside vendors. The ability to lead through influence and negotiation. Good understanding of project management methodologies. Excellent organizational and time management skills with an attention to detail. Demonstrated problem-solving skills. Preferred Qualifications Power BI Certification.
