Michigan Millers is seeking a Business Analyst to join our team in our Lansing office! The individual in this role will develop and implement test methodologies for all systems used to support the insurance lifecycle. The right candidate will define, document, and analyze requirements that translate customer needs into technology solutions to help promote the company's strategic goals. They will ensure the needs of the business are represented in an actionable way when developing, implementing, or refining the company's use of technology. Responsibilities of a Business Analyst include: Collaborate with other team members to define the business requirements to meet the end user's needs Research and analyze the business and functional needs, creating and documenting the requirements utilizing established best practices Participate in defining system integration and user-acceptance test plans Contribute to the development of an overall implementation plan Partner with the business areas in the creation of process workflow and user documentation Participate in orientation and training to end users for all modified and new systems Support a business unit, collaborating with the business unit and IT for IT work requests Build and maintain knowledge and understanding of basic business processes What is a must-have? Knowledge of or basic experience in gathering requirements, testing, and supporting business/technology applications and/or systems Basic experience with business analysis/requirements management practices Demonstrated aptitude toward problem identification and resolution Bachelor's Degree in technology, business, or a related field preferred; or equivalent work experience Preferred Skills Previous experience in the insurance industry Compensation Overview: The base pay offered may vary depending on the job-related knowledge, skills, credentials, and experience of each candidate as well as other factors such as the scope and location of the role.
