These are our five-year goals: Goal #1 : HSYC implements Conscious Discipline to support the social emotional needs/ self-regulation of the HSYC community. Goal #2 : All children, regardless of family situation, will have strong attendance that will carryover after HSYC participation. Goal #3 : HSYC will be known for providing high quality, comprehensive services for school and life readiness through a unique two-generation approach. Goal #4 : Hire and retain individuals who are committed to the true HSYC mission and philosophy and who understand the need to be trauma-informed and relationship-based in an early childhood program. GENERAL DESCRIPTION: Provide safe bus transportation for Head Start of Yamhill County children, assuring that each child is picked up and delivered on schedule, in addition to transporting parents to special activities. Cooperate with Teachers and staff to promote the health and education of each child, and to work with center staff to assure a smooth flow of written communication between families and Head Start sites. Typically, this schedule includes four 10-hour shifts (Monday - Thursday) with the ability to flex to accommodate occasional trainings scheduled outside of these days/hours. MINIMUM EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE: High School Diploma or GED, required. Head Start of Yamhill County is committed to assisting Bus Drivers in obtaining the required Class B CDL, with air brakes, passenger & school bus endorsements, and the Oregon Department of Education School Bus Driver's Certificate. Excellent benefits for eligible employees include: HSYC qualifies as a Public Service Loan Forgiveness employer for eligible employees. 5 weeks paid vacation annually for 12-month staff, 3 weeks for 9-month staff. 12 paid holidays for 12-month staff, 10 for 9-month staff. 2 paid personal days with an additional day added for each 5 years of employment. 1 Floating Holiday Wellness Days (paid days for self-care) Employer paid medical, dental (including orthodontia), and vision coverage with optional employee participation in FSA. 401 K with a 3% Employer contribution plus up to 4% Employer match.
