Baillie Lumber's Rip Line is looking to add a motivated Building and Grounds Maintenance person to join our team. Located in beautiful Upstate, NY we are a leading commercial hardwood lumber manufacturer that is experiencing exponential growth, producing a variety of building products for numerous industry sectors. We are seeking a Building & Grounds Maintenance person to assist with the day-to-day operations within a finished hardwood product setting. Why join us? Building & Grounds Maintenance Responsibilities: Conducting routine maintenance to the grounds such as mowing, weed eating, snow removal, and salting walkways. Performing daily general upkeep / cleaning of offices and production areas. Ensuring all safety systems are functioning properly, including smoke and carbon monoxide detectors Keeping a neat and organized work environment. Part chasing for other departments if needed. Responding to and completing maintenance requests. Performing inventory on cleaning/maintenance supplies. Must Have Skills Be 18 years of age or older Must be able to lift up to 50lbs, kneel, bend and reach frequently Experience running lawn equipment preferred Must be punctual and able to work alone Must have a clean driving record Self-motivated, organized and able to multi-task Employment is contingent on successfully passing a and physical examination, including drug screening Nice to Have Skills Previous experience as a maintenance worker preferred High School degree preferred, but not required Baillie Lumber Co. is one of North America's largest hardwood lumber manufacturers, distributors and exporters.
