KAIROS, Inc is searching for an energetic, experienced, and highly motivated Budget Analyst to join our team. This position will require at least 63% onsite work to be done in St. Inigoes, MD. This position will perform work both on their own as well as with the team to provide financial and/or accounting support to the activity Accounting Department, Budget Department, Financial Systems Department, or Business Operations Department, or other organizational support elements and other activities. Primary Duties: Perform managerial/cost accounting, budgeting, funding execution, manpower management, workload, acquisition, documentation management, system support, and financial analyses to provide efficient allocation and effective utilization of financial resources. Provide recommendations for improving operations, systems, and reporting. Utilize Navy Enterprise Resource Planning (N-ERP) to perform financial execution functions. Provide support for a variety of management activities, corporate initiatives, special projects, and data calls, which could have a significant impact on the organization and its business operations. Skills and Qualifications: Financial management experience including financial analysis of business programs, development of cost estimates, and program status reports. Working knowledge of DoD Financial Management Regulation (FMR); FAR; and Planning, Programming, Budgeting and Execution (PPBE) processes. Capable of performing detailed analysis of complex data to identify problems and recommend solutions. Ability to apply financial management practices to ensure validity/accuracy of metrics and reporting results. Strong customer relations, analytics, documentation skills. Self-starter, highly motivated, strong work ethic with a commitment to quality. Microsoft office proficiency. Ability to work within a challenging, fast-paced, team-oriented environment Ability to work independently Ability to multi-task and meet competing, deliverable deadlines Detail oriented Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills Excellent verbal and written communication skills to provide clear status and/or communicate issues Ability to adapt to evolving technology Education and Experience: Bachelor’s degree in a Business discipline In lieu of a bachelor's degree a substitution may be allowed for degree and years of applicable experience. Three (3) years of relevant experience. Of those three (3) years of relevant experience, at least two (2) of those years must be within the DoD. Financial management experience should include financial analysis of business programs, development of cost estimates, program status reports, and knowledge of DoD financial Management Regulation (FMR); FAR; and Planning, Programming, Budgeting and Execution (PPBE) processes. Clearance: This position is subject to a government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information. In order to complete the requirements for government security clearance investigation you must be a U.S. Citizen and be able to complete the full background investigation. This position requires an Active Secret Security Clearance.
