Position Purpose The Branch Supervisor is responsible for overseeing and coordinating all operations of a branch in tandem with the Branch Manager. Duties include staff training, building rapport with customers and the community, creating and implementing strategies to improve productivity and sales performance in efforts to achieve the financial targets. Essential Functions Ensure the integrity and accuracy of the physical inventory, perform physical branch inventories as needed Ensure maintenance of qualified staff within defined headcount parameters. Manage day to day work, processes, payroll, attendance, time off, evaluations, discipline, hiring decisions, providing training, coaching, development and motivation to improve the branch performance Enforce a culture of safety Ensure all work required (including discrepancy processing) is completed efficiently, accurately and timely, including but not limited to receiving, put away, picking, shipping, returns, inventory management etc. Ensure standards of performance as a basis of review. Foster a cooperative and harmonious working climate conducive to maximizing employee morale and productivity Ensure customers receive efficient, expedient service by all personnel including involvement with escalated customer issues as needed Ensure all front counter operations are performed per policies and procedures Manage retail display area to meet company goals and objectives Must be able to pass certification of training on warehouse equipment where applicable (ie: fork truck, wave picker, pallet jack, etc) Work Experience Requirements Excellent customer service skills Excellent communication skills Ability to perform in stressful and demanding environment Ability to motivate, lead, and develop staff Minimum of 2 years prior supervisory experience desired Minimum 1 year customer service experience Proficient in Microsoft Office products (specifically Excel, Word, Outlook) Physical Requirements The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
