What you need to be qualified for this job Employees are required to have the following: Excellent Communication Problem-Solving A commitment to the health and wellbeing of others Flexibility Ability to work as a team Can do attitude Desire to improve the quality of life for a person with disabilities Experience working with disabled individuals preferred A high school education (or GED) Reliable transportation Valid Drivers license Must be at least 18 years or older Personal cell phone Work Schedule 9 am to 7pm two days a week. Services Providing Personal Care Assistant (PCA): Provides assistance with the following: eating, bathing, dressing, personal hygiene, and other activities of daily living; or supervision and cueing of these activities without actual hands-on assistance. ABI Recovery Assistant I & II (RA): Supports to promote the individual's abilities to maintain and foster community living skills, in accordance with therapeutic goals outlined in the individual's service plan. Services may include improvement of socialization, self-advocacy, and the development of natural supports. Supports are to promote safety through monitoring, assist with activities of daily living (both hands-on and cueing), medication compliance, and community integration. **Providers must complete an RA application and attend the 1-day ACR sponsored RA training.
