We work with top law firms, insurance companies and manufacturers to investigate the "why" when things fail and injuries occur. Virtual Tour of our Facility: https://my.matterport.com/show/?m=SazLQAfS6Uu Job Duties & Responsibilities: Evaluate bodily injuries or risk of injury from sports equipment, automobile accidents, mechanical and play equipment, slip/trip and falls and other exposures Conduct field investigations to document accident scenes and gather information that is the basis for subsequent analysis, simulation and/or testing Conduct unbiased investigations for various types of clients Retention and development of client relationships Provide technical findings and conclusions in laymen's terms, both verbally and in writing Assist with staff investigations, analysis and testing Deliver professional presentations, develop client relationships and promote self to client groups Maintain professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops; reviewing professional publications; establishing professional networks; participating in professional societies Position Requirements: Master's Degree highly preferred Bachelor's degree (or master's) in mechanical engineering is a *firm requirement* Focus on impact biomechanics, specifically Demonstrated work history in impact biomechanics Education in a safety lab, public health, biomechanics and/or human factors Must have taken Anatomy and/or Physiology Public speaking experience a plus Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills Knowledge and desire to learn research techniques Time management and organizational skills Collaborative drive but ability to also work autonomously High attention to detail Physical Requirements 25% Travel Ability to maneuver in and around an accident Ability to lift 50 lbs Ability to drive to site locations and occasional air travel Benefits Medical, dental & vision coverage 401(k) with company match Paid vacation, sick days and holidays Company-paid STD, LTD and Life Insurance Tuition Reimbursement Program Bonus program Extensive forensic training SEA places a strong value and priority on diversity, equity and inclusion across the company.
