Virginia Health Services is now hiring a Billing Specialist for our Corporate Team, located in Newport News, VA. Overview: As a key member of the billing team, will be responsible for private pay statements monthly, posting cash and updating daily census Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Bill claims for private pay residents at long term care facilities Post private pay payments and balance cash to the checkbook Perform various collection actions including running census reports, generate charges, review accounts for accuracy, updating insurance information Maintain strictest confidentiality while adhering to all HIPAA guidelines and regulations Answer phone calls from residents about their accounts and resolve billing complaints Knowledge, Skills & Abilities: Highly motivated team player Strong interpersonal and communication skills Strong organizational skills Exceptional attention to detail Excellent phone communication Knowledge of Medicare and Medicaid Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Outlook and Word Education and Experience High school diploma or equivalent Previous billing experience preferred especially in long term care setting Why join Virginia Health Services?
