POSITION: Billing Specialist REPORTS TO: Billing Manager LOCATION: Fresno, CA SALARY: $20.00 - $25.00/ per hour COMPANY OVERVIEW: Caglia Environmental is part of the Caglia Family Companies. We are a diverse group of companies, from Electric Motor Repair, Electrical Distribution and Construction, to Landfill Management, Recycling, and Waste & Disposal. POSITION SUMMARY: Manage account balances to discover outstanding debts or other inconsistencies. Collecting all information needed to calculate accounts receivable. Auditing data input in billing system to ensure accuracy of final invoice. Manage internal collections on outstanding accounts. JOB DESCRIPTION: We are looking for a reliable Billing Specialist to perform tasks that will help us monitor our revenues. You will be responsible for keeping track of money owed to us by customers, preparing invoices and updating records. As a billing clerk, you must be accurate and reliable in handling accounts and documents. Being good at math and a high degree of organizational ability are essential due to high volume of financial information. Since you will be using technology to expedite your work, knowledge of computer systems is required. PRINCIPAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES: Manage account balances to discover outstanding debts or other inconsistencies. Collect all information needed to calculate accounts receivable. Check the data input in the billing system to ensure accuracy of final bill. Create & prepare company invoices and send them to customers through various channels (mail, e-mail etc) Issue customer account statements periodically or whenever necessary. Receive and enter payments through various methods (cash, checks, Credit Card, online payments) and check for credibility. Manage internal collections on accounts. Send reminders for payments and contact customers when past due through various channels of communication. Update accounting records with new payments, balances, customer information, input of price increases, etc. Assist with Customer Service calls, answer questions regarding bills and handle/ resolve complaints. Report on activity to upper management POSITION REQUIREMENTS: Bilingual in Spanish preferred Proven experience as billing clerk or general accounting experience Proficient in MS Office (especially Excel) Excellent math ability Good organizational skills Excellent communication skills High school diploma; higher education will be a plus
