Position Overview Under adequate supervision, individual will be responsible for preparing and managing paperwork and documentation required for billing. Reporting Relationship Billing-Collection Supervisor Position Requirements: High School diploma or GED. College education is desired. Basic knowledge and experience in home care; at least one (1) year of recent experience. Basic knowledge or familiarity with medical terminology and diagnostic codes. Recent experience with insurance verification, healthcare benefits assessment and paperwork and documentation for billing Medicare, Medicaid, commercial and contracted insurances. Basic typing/data entry skills. Possess the initiative to plan for and complete daily activities with minimal directions. Dependable in attendance and job performance. Bilingual is preferred . Duties and Responsibilities: Performs verification of insurance benefits as a back-up to the intake coordinator. Completes and manages all paperwork or supportive documentation required for performing effective billing. Batches and prepares transmittal of all "Delivery Tickets" as a clean claim to assure prompt and correct payment Responsible for reviewing the unbilled report to resolve any problems and issues in order to create a clean claim. Resubmit any claim not received by the insurance company. Respond to any requests for additional information or documentation needed to process our claims, Perform other duties as assigned by Management.
