Join our team! EastRidge Health Systems is seeking caring and compassionate individuals to join our Behavioral Health Technician team, a rewarding role involving helping others. Behavioral Health Technicians work with people who have intellectual and/or developmental disabilities. As a BHT, you are a mentor and a friend. BHT's help individuals in their homes to ensure daily needs are met, provide assistance with social and living skills, and sometimes provide transportation services (in an agency vehicle). While providing this direct care, your support improves the health, safety, and wellbeing of our clients. Experience required 3 years experiences working with the IDD Population or bachelor's degree and 1 year experience working with the IDD Population. Staff should be trained in behavior management and crisis intervention techniques Incentives $1,500 SIGN ON BONUS (paid out in increments) $500 Quarterly attendance bonus $500 Raffle entry for additional completed shifts (must pick up at least 3 per week) Responsibilities Provide daily support and direction to individuals with intellectual and/or developmental disabilities in areas of self-care, communication, self-direction, independent living, mobility, and learning. Assist individuals in areas of hygiene and dressing. Assist in the preparation of nutritional meals in a family-style dining environment. Support individuals in daily tasks, such as cleaning living areas, personal laundry responsibilities, and facilitating/attending community outings. Assist with in-house therapeutic activities such as physical exercises, occupational arts and crafts, and recreational games. Maintain a constant awareness and supervision of clients during all activities. Maintains regular and reliable attendance. Follows company policies and procedures including personnel, nursing, and administrative policies. Maintains confidentiality at all times. Other duties as assigned Requirements At least 18 years old Possess a valid driver's license Strong communication skills Ability to work flexible hours/all shifts Successfully pass a WV Care background check Job type/pay: Full-Time, $17.00 per hour Benefits: Health insurance Optional vision and dental insurance Life insurance Paid time off Retirement plan 7 paid holidays Referral program
