Salary Range $19.61 - $23.24 depending on qualifications; $1,500 sign-on bonus - $500 after 30 days worked; another $500 after 90 days worked; remaining $500 after 6 months from date of hire. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: Other duties may be assigned. All the following are to be performed while adhering to Tree Top operational policies, safety rules, procedures and good manufacturing practices. It is the responsibility of every employee at Tree Top Inc. to report food safety and food quality problems or risks to personnel with the authority to initiate action against these said possible risks. This is a representative sample--not to imply a complete listing of all responsibilities and tasks. Calculates and records batch usage data completely, concisely, accurately and legibly. Must be able to work under deadline conditions and meet deadlines. Tests product batch for variety of qualities such as, but not limited to, juice brix, clarity, color and acid. Utilizing this data to make adjustments to the batch. Cleans and sanitizes the tanks, hoses piping and related equipment required for batching. Must be able to make adjustments to the batches using the computer. Reseals, transfers and stores all partially used batch components in their respective designated area. Ensures proper rotation of batch components. Ensures timely utilization of the amount of "washdown" product into each batch. Minimize inventory levels of "washdown". Informs Supervisor/Foreperson on a timely basis of all operational problems encountered and what action was taken to resolve the problems with recommendations to prevent reoccurrences. This includes documentation of operational trouble spots for corrective action. Responsible for addressing potential food safety and quality issues of the product, including but not limited to monitoring and responding to HACCP, Critical Control Points. Coordinates oneself in a professional manner, working safely, taking precautions in preventing product and/or equipment damages and losses, cooperating with co-workers and maintaining good housekeeping practices at all times. Lock-Out Tag-Out EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE: High school diploma or GED is preferred. One to three month related experience and/or training is preferred. MATHEMATICAL SKILLS: Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions and decimals. LANGUAGE SKILLS: Ability to read and understand documents such as specifications, safety rules, operating instructions and procedure manuals. CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS: Required: Forklift Certification by company PHYSICAL DEMANDS: The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to: Regularly required to reach with hands and arms, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. Frequently required to stand, walk; use hands and fingers to handle or feel objects, tools, or controls; climb or balance, talk or hear and smell or taste. The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 60 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision for paperwork and observing fruit, distance vision for driving, color vision to determine apple variety, peripheral vision for driving, depth perception for driving, and the ability to adjust focus to monitor equipment. Ability to go up or down stairs or ladders. WORK ENVIRONMENT: The work environment characteristics described here are representative of those an employee encounters while performing the essential functions of this job. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly exposed to fumes or airborne particles and vibration. The employee frequently works near moving mechanical parts. The employee occasionally works in high, precarious places. The employee occasionally works in outside weather conditions and is occasionally exposed to wet and/or humid conditions, toxic or caustic chemicals, extreme cold, extreme heat, and risk of electrical shock.
