Barre Instructor About the Position The Wellness Center at Grey Oaks is looking for dynamic and confident individuals that are high energy performers with a passion for fitness to join our team. As with all positions, this position will continually exemplify and promote the core values, mission, and culture of the Grey Oaks Country Club team. This position reports to the Fitness Experience Coordinator. About Grey Oaks Country Club Considered one of the premier Country Clubs in Florida, Grey Oaks opened in 1993 and encompasses the Grey Oaks and Estuary communities, along with 54 holes of championship golf. The Club's facilities include a 63,000-square-foot east clubhouse, 12,000-square-foot golf pro shop, golf performance center, 30,000- square-foot wellness center, sports center, and the pool café, a 22,000-square-foot complex with indoor and outdoor dining overlooking an expansive resort-style pool with a wading entrance, waterfall, and lap lanes. Additionally, The Estuary offers a 20,000-square-foot clubhouse with indoor and outdoor dining overlooking the golf course, as well as a golf pro shop and his-and-her locker and card rooms. In addition to our facilities and amenities, our staff continuously commits itself to unparalleled professional service for our members and their guests. About You To be successful in this role, you understand and live by the concept of being a "team player," making sure that collaboration is essential to your success, as well as the success of those you work with. Qualifications Instructors must possess a current certification in their discipline Must be friendly, vibrant, and outgoing Have experience teaching Must possess and maintain current CPR/AED certification Must be well-versed in basic anatomy, kinesiology, contraindicated exercises, exercise modifications for all populations Must be eager to learn and continue professional development and education Background in dance, fitness, cheerleading or barre concept (ideal but not required) Must be friendly, vibrant, and outgoing Responsibilities Availability to teach a minimum of 1-2+ classes per week (classes are offered mornings, midday, evenings, weekends, and holidays) Diligent planning and preparation before each class, including diligent study of choreography and class planning prior to each class, as well as learning full choreography changes on a quarterly basis Assist with keeping the studio neat and orderly Ability to run, jump, walk, bend, balance, and perform upper and lower body weight bearing movements. Ability to effectively demonstrate all movements Ability to maintain high-energy for a 50-minute class Education/Experience Educational Background: Minimum Associate degree from an accredited college or university, preferred.
