JOB TITLE : Barista REPORTS DIRECTLY TO : Café Manager About Us . Rally Entertainment is a leisure and entertainment company focused on cultivating connection through pickleball, exceptional food and drink, and competitive socializing experiences. We offer a modern twist on pickleball with innovative technology designed to keep players engaged, entertained, and excited to come back for more. Starting with our flagship venue in Charlotte's Lower South End, Rally is reinventing recreation, and we're looking for enthusiastic, hospitality-oriented individuals to join our team! The Position. The Café at Rally Charlotte is an integral part of the venue's food and beverage operation. It will be open from morning to mid-afternoon, serving up Night Swim Coffee, a limited food menu, chef-curated grab-and-go items, and baked goods from our partner bakery. The Barista is responsible for preparing and serving coffee, tea, other beverages , and food items for café guests. Additionally , the barista assist s guests by making recommendations, taking orders, up-selling special items to enhance guest experience , and keeping the café area clean and stocked. What Y ou'll D o : M ak e and serv e drinks to customers with care and great attention to detail. Tak e orders and handling cash/card payments through our POS. Educate guests on menu offerings, as needed. Us e teamwork with fellow café staff members to deliver speedy and quality service. Ensure café is clean by adhering to our high-standard of cleanliness, which includes: washing dishes when needed, sweeping, mopping, wiping tables, regular sanitizing of high-touch surfaces, etc. Anticipate guest pain points and strive to exceed expectations. Other duties will be assigned as needed. To Be Successful in This Role, You'll : Thrive in a fast-paced environment where you must think on your feet. Follow all rules, policies, procedures, and conditions of employment, including those outlined in the Employee Handbook. Flexibility to work varied shifts, including, weekends, and holidays. Ability to stand and walk for an entire shift , which may include stairs, uneven or slick surfaces. Work in a confined, crowded space of variable noise and temperature levels.
