Main Job duties: Pediatric Hearing backssments: Conduct comprehensive hearing backssments and diagnostic tests for pediatric patients, from infants to adolescents, to identify hearing disorders, including congenital and acquired conditions. Newborn Hearing Screening: Perform hearing screening tests on newborns to identify hearing issues early and provide necessary follow-up backssments and interventions. Treatment Planning: Develop individualized treatment plans for children with hearing loss or balance disorders, which may include recommending and fitting hearing aids, cochlear implants, or other assistive devices. Auditory Rehabilitation: Offer auditory rehabilitation services, including speech and language therapy, to help children with hearing loss develop communication skills. Balance backssment: Evaluate and diagnose balance disorders in pediatric patients, conducting vestibular testing and providing appropriate interventions or referrals. Hearing Aid Management: Fit, program, and adjust hearing aids for pediatric patients, ensuring they receive optimal hearing aid performance and ongoing support. Family Education: Educate parents and caregivers on hearing loss management, communication strategies, and the importance of early intervention. Multidisciplinary Collaboration: Collaborate with other healthcare professionals, such as pediatricians, speech therapists, and occupational therapists, to provide comprehensive care to pediatric patients. Documentation: Maintain accurate and detailed patient records, including backssments, treatment plans, and progress notes, in compliance with healthcare regulations. Quality Improvement: Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance audiology services for pediatric patients, staying updated with best practices and emerging technologies in pediatric audiology.
