We are currently looking for an experienced Paediatric Speech & Language Therapist, who can provide overall support for the clinical leadership of the service. This post is based in Dartford, which is easily accessible via public transport. About the role: As a Paediatric Speech & Language Therapist, you will be working in mainstream schools in Dartford, Erith and Abbey Wood, working alongside the Clinical Manager and a band 5 therapist covering 2 Academy Trusts. This post is a Term-time only role which includes 2 weeks working with salary paid throughout school holidays. Your main responsibilities as a Paediatric Speech & Language Therapist: - Carry out formal and informal backssment of students and making diagnostic decisions - Setting and evaluating aims and objectives regarding speech, language and communication - Carry out direct and indirect therapy interventions - Work with others, including families, teaching staff and other professionals - Contribute to training and prioritising and managing caseload - Maintain best practice clinical standards as per RCSLT CQ live guidelines - Maintain a working knowledge of local policies and procedures and legal frameworks - Carry out required administrative duties - Work independently and accessing support as needed - Contribute to development of the practice - Participate in service research and audit - Contribute to supervision of assistants, students and volunteers - Responsible for continuing professional development and maintaining up to date HCPC registration What we are looking for in a Paediatric Speech & Language Therapist: - The legal right to work in the UK - A HCPC registration - Experience working in a similar role.
