Main Ingredients of the Job Safely drive truck to vendors and company drop-off sitesVerify freight on truck, required trailer temperatures and accuracy of freight with vendorsReturn tractor and trailer to division when route is completedPerform all pre-trip and post-trip equipment inspectionPhysical RequirementsComfortable driving and working in inclement weather conditions with frequent stops (10+ per shift) requiredMust be able to perform coupling procedures for the Tractor/TrailerWhat You Bring to the TableRegister to the FMCSA Clearinghouse*Must be at least 21 years of ageMust have valid CDL Class A issued by the state of legal residence with necessary endorsements and DOT qualificationsMinimum of six months commercial driving experience or three months commercial driving experience in the food and/or beverage delivery industry requiredAbility to operate manual transmission preferred; may be required in specific locationsWillingness to travel 2-3 times per week requiredMust be able to read and communicate in the English language - able to hold a conversation, to understand highway traffic signs and signals, to respond to official inquiries, and to enter information on reports and records.Why US FoodsAt US Foods, we're committed to our mission of GREAT FOOD.
