In order to join our team as an Automotive Service Writer, you need to meet the following criteria: Strong computer proficiency Ability to lift up to 40 lbs. Valid driver's license and a clean driving record This is an entry-level position , so while experience would be preferred, it's not as important as having excellent communication skills, fantastic customer service skills, and a keen eye for detail. Can you manage your time efficiently and coordinate multiple competing priorities? Do you perform your best with minimal supervision? Are you eager to grow your skills and develop your knowledge? Can you think on your feet and solve problems as they come up? If so, we have a spot for you on our team! WHAT DOES AN AUTOMOTIVE SERVICE WRITER EVEN DO? In this entry-level customer service position, you can expect fast-paced days as you perform a wide variety of duties to support our shop's operations. Upholding a friendly and helpful demeanor, you speak with our clients over the phone and in person, scheduling work appointments and asking them about their auto repair needs. You coordinate with our technicians to generate estimates for each job and to ensure you don't overbook them with appointments. When appropriate, you suggest additional services to the client and strive to increase sales without being overly pushy.
