Automation Systems Analyst I

Description:
Automation Analyst IIPrimary Responsibility:This role is responsible for the support and production operations of the Warehouse Execution System (WES) and Warehouse Management System (WMS). This position will be a strong advocate for meeting service levels and maintaining high availability in the heavily automated warehouse. This includes responding to questions from the business users and handling issues as they are reported.What You'll Do:o Working with the central IT / OT teams and vendors to ensure issues are properly understood and accurately assignedo Diagnosing and resolving data and system issues to ensure warehouse usability for the consumers of the warehouse datao Performing daily, weekly, monthly, quarterly, and yearly operations tasks required for the ongoing functionality of the software applications.o Some light debugging duties using SQL will be required in order to develop queries/reports of varying complexity to troubleshoot and recommend fixes to development teamso Coordinating with various teams and raise support ticket for all issues, analyze root cause and assist in efficient resolution of all production ticketso Maintaining logs of all issues and ensure resolutions according to quality assurance tests for all production processesWhat Experience and Education You Need:o Bachelor's degree or Minimum of 1-2 years of experience supporting warehouse automation software applicationso Thorough analysis, judgment, and problem-solving skillso Ability to multitask and prioritize is a musto Diligent attention to detail is essential due to the nature worko BI and reporting knowledge and experience is a strong assetWhat Could Set You Apart:o Strong data analytical skillso Strong knowledge of the SQLo Good understanding of automation controls concepts (PLCs, scanners, conveyor controls etc.,)o Proficiency in any scripting languageo Prior software development experience is a plusPhysical Requirements:o Requires the ability to sit for long periods of time, with frequent interruptionso Requires several hours per day of sitting, getting up and down from chairs, and reaching, or bendingo Requires manual dexterity with normal hand and finger movements for typical office worko Talking, hearing, and seeing are important elements of completing assigned taskso May require travel by automobile and airplane up for businesso May require a visit to facility operation in temperatures at or below freezingo May carry loads related to travel and occasionally lifts, carries, positions, or moves objects weighing up to 20 poundso Requires the use of various electronic toolso Requires the ability to relate to others beyond giving and receiving instructions: must partner with colleagues without exhibiting behavioral extremeso Requires the performance of work activities including reasoning, negotiating, instructing, persuading, or speaking with others; and respond appropriately to constructive feedback from executive managementWork Environment:The work environment characteristics described here are representative of those an employee encounters while performing the essential functions of this job.
