The Role: The Automation Controls Engineer will maintain the reliability and efficiency of automated systems, warehouse distribution and other processes to maximize efficiency, minimize downtown, and ensure the safety and productivity of the facility within assigned shifts. Your contribution to our vision (responsibilities): Continuously monitor and supervise the automated control systems to ensure they are operating efficiently and within specified parameters. Quickly identify and resolve any issues or malfunctions in the control systems, which may involve analyzing PLC (Programmable Logic Controller) code, HMI (Human-Machine Interface) interfaces, sensors, and actuators. Continuously improve the automation processes by identifying areas for efficiency gains, cost reductions, and quality improvements. Create, modify, and optimize control software, PLC code, and HMI interfaces to meet evolving operational requirements and standards Develop and execute preventive maintenance plans to minimize downtime and extend the lifespan of automation equipment. This includes regular inspections and component replacements. Be on-call to respond to emergencies and breakdowns, providing timely solutions to minimize production downtime or safety risks according established emergency response plan. Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including maintenance technicians, production engineers, and operators, to ensure seamless integration of automation systems with overall production processes. Collaborate with equipment vendors and suppliers to ensure timely delivery of components, spare parts, technical support, and necessary upgrades for control systems. Train and mentor other personnel, including maintenance staff and operators, on the proper operation, troubleshooting, and maintenance of control systems. Ensure that control systems adhere to industry standards, safety regulations, and quality assurance guidelines. Stay updated on relevant regulations and implement necessary changes. Other related duties as assigned by direct supervisor. You bring: Bachelor's Degree in a relevant field such as Electrical Engineering, Automation Engineering, Control Systems Engineering, or related. 5+ years of professional experience in the field of automation technology or in an industrial manufacturing environment. Relevant expertise in the fields of mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, or automation. Proficiency in PLC programming, HMI/SCADA systems, industrial networks (e.g., Ethernet/IP, Profibus), and other automation technologies is essential. Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot complex automation issues efficiently. Strong analytical skills to assess data from control systems and make data-driven decisions for optimization. Knowledge of industry-specific regulations and standards relevant to the organization's operations.
