Qualifications: Completion of the Controls Engineering Technology Certificate or three or more years of industry experience working in Automated Manufacturing fields. Proficiency in the use of industry-related software as it relates to curriculum and delivery of course content. Job Summary At Bridgerland Technical College, we do education a bit differently. We are committed to helping the largest employers in northern Utah develop the people they need to make our local economy strong and prosperous. We are hands-on, competency based, and self-paced with instructors and curriculum that are unmatched. Substitute instructors support student learning by helping students understand fundamental principles of manufacturing like pneumatics, hydraulics, Allen Bradley PLC systems, Industrial Robotics, vision systems, system communication and much more.Hours would be on an as needed basis. We are open from 7:00am to 8:00pm on most weekdays. A potential candidate would not necessarily need to be available all of the times we are open. Essential Duties The following examples of duties illustrate the general range of tasks assigned to the position but are not intended to define the limits of required duties. Other essential duties may be assigned consistent with the general scope of this position.-- Assist students with curriculum questions and needs-- Communicate effectively with students and staff and maintain discipline in all school settings-- Maintain accountability of students in classrooms and office areas-- Adapt equipment and materials to specific learning objectives set by faculty-- Assume responsibility for the orderliness of the learning environment-- Ensure the safe use of instructional facilities and equipment-- Perform simple clerical tasks proficiently Job Posted by ApplicantPro
