About Our Opportunity Under the direction of the Program Administration Officer, Audit and Enforcement, you will: Conduct a variety of tax-auditing and verification activities of varying degrees of complexity. Conduct office and/or field audits of vendors (manufacturers, wholesalers, retailers) and consumers to ensure compliance with the Revenue Act and Regulations in the areas of fuel, tobacco, vaping products, and sales tax, as well as under the International Fuel Tax Agreement (IFTA), International Registration Program (IRP), Petroleum Product Pricing Act and Your Energy Rebate Program. Examine and verify the financial accounting systems of vendors and consumers, on-site audit/review of operations and/or analyze the monthly returns of manufacturers, wholesalers, retailers and consumers to ensure compliance with legislation. In addition, you may be required to appear in court as a witness. Qualifications and Experience To be successful in this position, you should have completed six courses of a professional accounting program (CPA) or an acceptable equivalent, with three years related experience in the field of auditing / accounting.
