Position Title: Audio Visual Technician Location: St. Charles, MO Position Summary: The Audio-Visual Technician will assemble and install commercial A/V sound systems and satellite equipment into promotional vehicles. Additionally, the Audio-Visual Technician will be responsible for running and terminating A/V wiring, installing, and testing equipment. Job Responsibilities: Follow Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) during installation of commercial audio visual, video conference, and control systems. Test and program control systems and digital signal audio processors. Coordinate projects through the final adjustments and commission of installed systems. Follow instructions, equipment lists, floor plans, rack and console elevations. Document service and installation actions by completing forms, reports, logs, and records. Maintain customer confidence by keeping project information confidential. Maintain up-to-date job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities and/or reading professional publications. Responsible for training the customer on installed equipment. Assist with training coworkers on assembly and installation of A/V sound systems and satellite equipment. Assist with other duties, as assigned. Required Skills and Experience: High School Diploma or equivalent and a minimum of 2 years' experience with electronics, wiring, installation of sound systems and satellite. Proficient in problem solving and troubleshooting. Knowledgeable of commercial AV industry and products. Excellent oral, written, communication skills. Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite. Ability to work independently or as part of a team. Provide high level of customer service in challenging or difficult situations. Maintain a positive rapport with customers by investigating complaints, identifying solutions, suggesting improved methods and techniques, and recommending system improvements. Physical Requirements: Physical ability to stand up to 8+ hours per day. Physically able to climb in and out of trailers, scaffolding and ladders. Ability to lift & carry up to 75 lbs.
