Practice Area: Litigation - General (consumer),Litigation - Mediation, Job Type: Attorney, Firm Type: Law Firm, Experience: 3 Years, Job Overview: A law firm in Spokane, WA, is seeking an Attorney I with a strong background in legal research, writing, client communication, and marketing. The ideal candidate will possess a Juris Doctor degree from an American Bar Association accredited law school, admission (or eligibility for reciprocal admission) to the WA Bar, and at least 3+ years of experience as an attorney.Duties:Researching and analyzing the law on complex legal issues.Writing memorandums, briefs, letters, and other documents.Marketing your and the firm’s services to prospective clients.Performing discovery of various electronically stored data and hard copies of information in preparation for litigation.Performing due diligence in legal matters concerning contracts, agreements, mergers, and acquisitions.Communicating and advising clients.Managing a schedule to allow for consults and closure of consults to sufficiently reach production/collection objectives.Closing consults within the Firm's 30-50% range depending on practice area.Timely approval of invoices is critical to the health of the business on a month-to-month basis.Ensure support staff are fully utilized and productive.Accurately and completely update CC with fees, engagement, trust, client information, invoices, etc., as required.If over-subscribed, share work tasks with other attorneys and support staff to ensure the firm meets the objective of serving communities.Actively engage in brand (personal and firm) expansion through blogs, social media posts, board and organization participation, etc.Actively seek positive comments from successful client engagements and positive star reviews.Perform other job-related duties as assigned.Requirements:Mediation experience is highly preferred.Trial experience preferred.Excellent writing and interpersonal skills.Excellent legal research skills.Juris Doctor degree from an American Bar Association-accredited law school.Admission (or eligibility for reciprocal admission) to WA Bar.3+ years of experience as an attorney.Benefits Offered:Insurance: Medical, dental, vision, and life insurance.Retirement: 401(k) plan with company matching.Paid time off: Attorneys receive unlimited PTO for Vacation/Sick days and paid Federal Holidays.Paid Volunteer Time Off: Up to 16 hours annually.
