Position: Lab Technician Location: Frederick, MD Position Type: On-site Salary: $65,000 - $75,000 per year, commensurate with experience Main Points ASTM test standards related to wood or metal Lab Technician experience of 1+ year Benefits: Health, dental, and vision insurance 401(k) retirement plan with company match Paid time off Professional development opportunities Responsibilities: Perform basic laboratory tasks such as preparing and analyzing samples, conducting experiments, and recording data Maintain a clean and organized laboratory environment Follow standard operating procedures (SOPs) and safety protocols Assist with the calibration and maintenance of laboratory equipment Collaborate with other team members to ensure timely completion of projects Document experimental procedures and results accurately Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues as they arise Contribute to the development of new laboratory techniques and protocols Requirements: Bachelor's degree in a scientific field (e.g., biology, chemistry, biochemistry) or equivalent experience Minimum of 2 years of experience working as a lab technician Strong experience working in a clean environment and adhering to strict cleanliness standards Proficiency in basic laboratory techniques and equipment operation Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities Excellent communication and interpersonal skills ASTM test standards related to wood or metal Powered by JazzHR
